  • Food Systems & Nutrition Expert

    Mim Seidel, MS, RDN, focuses on the intersection of public health and regional food systems. Her expertise spans public health nutrition; food access; food systems thinking and program planning and development. She served on the inaugural PA WIC Advisory Board, is a longtime member of the Pittsburgh Food Policy Council, and is faculty in Chatham University’s Food Studies Program. Mim’s research includes identifying the impact of COVID-19 on Pennsylvania farmers, increasing participation in the WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program; and promoting a food bank’s mobile market program. Previously, Mim managed the Chronic Disease Prevention Program for the Allegheny County Health Department and implemented community-based Diabetes Prevention Program research at the University of Pittsburgh Diabetes Institute. She holds a master’s degree in nutrition and is a licensed and registered dietitian.
